Janet Farrington, President
The Fellowship
529 Wrightwood Ave.
Chicago IL 60614

Dear Janet,

In confirmation of our January 7th telephone conversation and in accordance with the spirit of the Foundation's policy to attempt person to person, face to face resolution of differences with any individual or group (especially when legal considerations are involved) and in accordance with the Trustees' desire to foster an atmosphere of unity and good will and to comply with our fiduciary duties, we suggest a meeting between the representatives of the Urantia Foundation and the Executive Committee in Paris on the weekend of February 19th or the 26th.

I am enclosing a copy of our current copyright and trademark policies, which were posted on our Web site during the last quarter of 1999. In light of your previous correspondence addressing translations on the Fellowship Web site, we direct your attention to the fact that the Web site license policy does not include a license for you to place translations on the web.

In our October 12th letter to you, we provided you with a list of infringements on the Fellowship's Web site. Then, in our December 14th letter, we expressed our hope that before our meeting and as a gesture of good faith and good will, you would remove the Spanish and French translations from the Fellowship's Web site. You chose not to remove these translations. You did remove the copyrighted Sadler material, and we thank you for having done so. The list of infringements in our October 12th letter was not exhaustive. Some work still remains to be done to bring the Fellowship's Web site into compliance with the requirements of copyright and trademark law. For instance, your display of the Uversa Press version of the text of The Urantia Book with the imbedded commentary in the text violates the Foundation's Web site license for the English text.

We have much to talk about, so let us see if we can agree on a venue and date for a meeting. I am optimistic that we can reach an amicable resolution of these matters, which are of such great concern to us.

If you have questions about the policies, please feel free to call me, and please direct all future communication on these matters to me with a copy to the Foundation office.

Sincerely,
