Dear Janet,

Thank you for the letters. I have spoken to the Foundation and you were right. Both sides know each other's positions and there doesn't seem to be any need for any mediation. The only thing I have left to offer is my prayers for the successful resolution of this conflict.

Thanks for you patience and time,

Sincerely

Michael Misha Shengaout

Misha,

I think this is it.  Let me know if you have any questions.  I don't
think you will be successful changing the minds of the majority
trustees.  You may want to save your political capital for a future
challenge.  Please know, however, that I appreciate your willingness to
seek a productive meeting between our two organizations.

With loving regards,
Janet

Richard Keeler
President, Urantia Foundation
533 W. Diversey Parkway
Chicago, IL. 60614

Dear Richard,

For the past four months we have requested a meeting with the Trustees
of Urantia Foundation to resolve issues between our organizations, a
procedure to which the Trustees publicly agreed during our last formal
negotiation over legal issues.  It seemed, for a time, that you and I
were making progress planning for a venue, dates, and an agenda for a
second critical meeting between the Trustees and members of the
Executive Committee.

And then you withdrew without notice from our discussions and Georges
took over.  Since that time we have made no progress towards a meeting.
We believe Georges has not been negotiating in good faith, as evidenced
by his sudden attempt to change the parameters of standing agreements
between our two organizations.  For example, we previously agreed to
bring the decision makers together to resolve problems without
litigation;  we agreed to terms of licensing that he now says have been
changed;  we agreed to develop an agenda that provided both
organizations the opportunity to present issues for resolution.
Instead, I have received increasingly threatening letters signed by
Georges alone in which his agenda of infringement is expanded, and his
terms for our proposed meeting have become unreasonable.  All we have
asked for is a chance to discuss your issues, and ours, face-to-face
with the Trustees.

Our issues include the escalating threats against revelation volunteers
in the international arena by "Foundation Agents"; and the pending
expiration of the international copyright of The Urantia Book in a
majority of countries by the year 2006; and Urantia Foundation's attempt
to limit "competition" by denying the use of the name of our planet and
the symbol of the Creator Son in our work for the revelation.  These
issues are important to us, and we know the issues the Trustees raised in
the October 12th letter are important to you.  Only by meeting
together, Trustees and EC members, will we be able to address and
resolve our differences.

I am appealing to you, President of Urantia Foundation, as President of
The Urantia Book Fellowship.  We should be colleagues, not adversaries.
We should be doing all we can to help each other and our respective
organizations disseminate the revelation.  There is more dissemination
work to do than we can reasonably accomplish in our short lives, even
without recurring conflict.  Let's not waste another moment of time or
precious dollar sparring over the details "about" dissemination.
Richard, call me and let's continue resolving our problems face-to-face.

I am no longer willing to respond to threatening letters and personal
posts from Urantia Foundation's Vice President.  If Urantia Foundation
is truly interested in resolving issues without litigation, then do so
with respect, and in good faith.

Respectfully yours,

Janet Farrington Graham
President, The Urantia Book Fellowship

Dear Janet,    This past Friday I received via e-mail a copy  of you letter
dated February 17, 2000 and I have read it carefully.   I thought my
two past letters to you, dated January 21 and  February 17, 2000, were very explicit
regarding the participants in our meeting.  Unfortunately you seem to
ignore our decision to have a delegation of five people,  including myself
meeting with your delegation. I feel sorry for you but we shall  not change
our mind. As a gesture of good will from your part we asked you to remove the French
and the Spanish texts from your web site. This was not a precondition for
our meeting with you, rather a sincere hope that your Executive Committee
would respond positively to this request.   Not only nothing has been done but instead the situation
is  getting from bad to worse. (See my last letter). Janet, the last chance for us to meet will be in Chicago on any of the days
between March 16 and 18. April will be very busy for me.  I'll have
business meetings in Europe, and my wife and I are going to attend
conferences in Chile and in Brazil. We are short of time. I request that you would, before February 25, as stated in my letter of
February 17, give me a clear-cut answer whether or not you want to meet
with us on March 17 or 18.
