Annual Report of the Education Committee

The Education Committee presently has a website up and running at http://www.urantia-education.org/index.htm.

This is the skeletal frame work of our future internet school that will be training the future presenters of the Urantia Book. We are busy putting together the curriculum that will make this a reality. Dr. Peter Laurence has completed a course on interfaith/ religious dialogue studies. This course has been taken by members of the Interfaith committee. A course is being developed by Dr. Marta Elders using examples described in the training of Teachers and Believers paper. A meeting is being organized to include past education chairs, people from the Foundations internet school, the education committee to brainstorm on internet school content.

Early in the fall, the University of Santa Fe cancelled the Summer Study Seminar 06’. We quickly looked at different venue possibilities. Finally we found the Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) Charles Olivea is our program chair. Our topic is Celestial Ministry: Seen and Unseen. We are presently looking into having next years Summer Study Seminar at St. Johns University in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
