PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE ANNUAL REPORT

                                                            July 2008

 By now, all of you have received the spring edition of the Mighty Messenger and the 2008 Fellowship Herald. Another Mighty Messenger will be published as soon as the mid-year General Council meeting date and venue and the same for the Summer Study Session are announced. Meanwhile, I will be collecting pictures and stories of reader activities as usual.

I am grateful for the increased cooperation of all of you in sending me articles, reports on activities, and any news items pertaining to the readership. The results are obvious in the two recent publications. I have received a number of compliments on this Herald for its depth and range of interests, and this was a reflection of the unusually large number and variety of articles from different authors. Keep them coming!

I am also pleased with the many and varied contributions to the Mighty Messenger, and especially for the large number of photographs. I would caution, however, that any pictures submitted be in the highest resolution you can achieve. Also, if you send pictures of your society and/or activities, please include names. I will attempt to put the names in the caption if I possibly can. Our readers always want to know who is in the picture, but space is a consideration.

I would like to fill a vacancy on my committee at this GC meeting by welcoming David Glass of Plano, TX as a member of Publications. However, I still have another vacancy to fill; so please, if you know of anyone who might be interested, ask them to contact me. I always have a need for writers/editors.
