PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT
January 23, 2009

This is the busiest time of the year for the Publications Committee as we prepare both the Herald and the spring issue of the Mighty Messenger. As of this date, about two-thirds of the articles for the Herald have been sent for final editing. Two articles are in the first stage of editing, and we are waiting for two more to come in. Hopefully, we will be able to send the HeraldeHerH to the printer in early spring.

As always, we need your contributions of society or study group activities, personal experiences in spreading the revelation, and always any pictures of these events you may have. Short essays on a topic, about 600 words, are also welcome.

Our publications put us in touch with over 8,000 readers and serve several purposes, among them, informing them of our activities and group functions as well as helping them to feel part of a vital, growing, larger organization with a revelation to share with the world. Essentially, our publications serve our Urantia community by helping to create a sense of family, as well as giving readers a chance to express their ideas through articles. The infrastructure of the Fellowship benefits as well, as we include registration forms for conferences, thus saving money on mailings, and we announce information on upcoming events.

Please help us enrich both the Herald and the Mighty Messenger by contacting us with news of your group, your activities, an outstanding person in your local Urantia community, and new ideas for other groups to try. It is really your efforts that make the Herald and Mighty Messenger successful.

Thank you.
