Notes from Visioning Process following
Council meeting of January 31, 2008

Note: There were three categories considered.  The last category is a vision of what the Urantia Book Fellowship could do without time, money, or political constraints.

Assets or things that are best about the Urantia Book Fellowship:

v Exciting and spiritually challenging

v Creating a noble presence. 

v The genius of this group is its raw potential, that by its example others will be drawn to us.

v My personal experience of God and actualizing the experience of God is enhanced by being a member of the group.

v Ultimately it will bring world peace and the unification of humankind under Michael’s banner.

v There is an opportunity to serve in a creative way that welcomes wider diversity.

v The possibility of bringing this incredible reality of love and service to the world.

v The Fellowship is a committed group of service loving individuals who welcome newcomers.

v Relationships – people we’ve known long term. 

v Joys of teamwork – dedicated team working together

v Different ways to provide personal service and group service that contributes to the Supreme

v Religious socialization and a positiveness about that approach.

v The structure of our organization, group wisdom, no hierarchy.  Structured in a way that is positive.

v A group of people who are the most loving among themselves as any I have seen.

v The essence of a community that has us working toward our highest spiritual potential.

v Preserving integrity of UB

v We’ve got the best teachings about God on the planet, a cosmic purpose, dogma free liberty, and spiritual freedom.

v We are keepers of the vision of what’s possible for humanity on this planet.

Imagine the most extraordinary things the Urantia Book Fellowship could accomplish over the next seven years.

• Teamwork throughout all of our organizations.  A spirit of unity between our organizations.
• Harmonize with other UB organizations to create “true” and effective outreach.
• Work harmoniously within our own groups and with other organizations.

• Higher institutions of learning exist that people of the world compete to come to.
• Study groups throughout India, pockets of people throughout the world. 

• Manifesting peaceful enlightened society.
• We become the model of a spiritual organization that spreads to the rest of the planet.  We live it and use Jesus’ model.

• Live loyally as a tadpole.  Live it day by day and the future will unfold.

• Touching every home with the revelation.  Public awareness that we are safe place for spiritual matters.

• Revealing the brotherhood to all mankind.  Societies in all regions of the world.  A mentoring system for all study groups.

• An effective global communication process linking all active readers into one.

• To rekindle excitement and passion for the Urantia book and it’s teachings.

• Become a clearinghouse for actualization of the revelation in readers lives.

• We become a media giant, a major player in the world for planetary transformation.

• Become a catalyst of growth like wildflowers throughout the world.

• World peace through global government and submission of nationalism to the good of the whole planet.

• Coming together with the Foundation and UAI in a unified spirit in an organizational relationship under Michael’s plan.  One Foundation, One Brotherhood – immensely diversified and creative.

• A UB presence in China

• Become an organization that is the envy of other national organizations.

• That our Fellowship will lead the way for our whole movement in what Jesus gave us when he said: (a) My peace I leave with you (b) Let not your hearts be troubled.

In THREE YEARS we will see…………..

Stupendous Outcomes, Stunning Results, Remarkable Experiences…….. 

Get cosmic in your thinking.  Dream big.  Imagine you have pixie dust, unlimited time, resources, volunteers, and money.  At this point, you need to describe only WHAT is different, NOT HOW we will make this happen.

Ø We have ambassadors in all population centers of the world creating service projects that lighten and uplift humanity.

Ø Relationships with Foundation, GC/EC are united, active, and effective. 

Ø UB reading room in every town.

Ø Public forums explore religious thinking (i.e. Urmia in Jesus’ time).  

Ø Lucifer rebellion is adjudicated.

Ø In 3-7 years we are a visible dynamic force to be reckoned with on the planet.

Ø Over the next 100-200 years, organized Urantia book readers will become, and qualify to be, a leavening influence on behalf of progressive evolutionary civilization.

Ø #1 on New York Times non-fiction best sellers is a book about the Fellowship as an effective and spiritual organization model for all to emulate.

Ø Everyone having heard they are sons and daughters of a loving God.  All hotel rooms with Urantia books. Urantia book known as a major text along with the Bible and Koran.  Concepts discussed mainstream in all kinds of media.

Ø A mentoring system is in place between older readers and long-term readers, connecting with the younger ones – a roll model of love.  We have cosmic citizenship schools and  world-wide conferences.

Ø Creating a world context for the advent of the Magesterial Son by celebrating Transformation Center #3000.  Formal complaint made by movie industry because so many movies are based on UB.

Ø News flash – Islam embraces teachings of UB because of online translation.

Ø Everybody on the planet has higher education.

Ø Michael will be recognized as the Father of our universe.

Ø UB Readers being requested to speak in their communities as a valued resource.

Ø 533 Diversey Parkway turned into a Urantia museum, free parking, adjacent to annex with lodging, and a conference center.

Ø We begin to live the teachings, to love each other with startling affection, to serve each other with amazing devotion.
