Dear David:

Re: Your Letter of February 1, 1989 to the Trustees of Urantia Foundation

You are indeed entitled to an apology for my personal actions during last Sunday evening. I hereby tender my sincere apology therefor, and I hope that you will accept it in the same generous and forgiving spirit as I accepted your written apology to me of a month or so ago as to a number of statements you had then made to me.

Notwithstanding I wish there to be peace between us David, I must nevertheless tell you that I continue to stand by my decisions regarding the Finnish situation; you and I have very different views of matters there. Your statements Sunday evening relating thereto were obviously disturbing to me‑‑so much so that it was then clear that it was best that we proceed with the Foundation's February Helsinki agenda without your accompanying us.

David, I think you know in your heart that all matters requiring the decisions of the Trustees of Urantia Foundation will always receive the same consideration and group process as before. And this is true notwithstanding my statements of momentary but intense pique born out of the deeper frustration‑‑especially lately‑‑of not being able to deal with you easily or effectively on a number of important matters of mutual interest to Urantia Brotherhood and to Urantia Foundation.

The various subjects raised in your letter will be addressed in due course by the Trustees. In the meantime, with respect not only to this, but also with respect to all additional matters you may wish to communicate to the Trustees on behalf of Urantia Brotherhood, it is of course now best that you do so directly to us as a group in writing.

Even though there continue to be deep disagreements, I hope both you and Marta will accept this apology and my best wishes.

Sincerely

Martin W. Myers

President and Trustee
