Dear Georges:

In our letter of July 7, 2000, we said we would "provide the Foundation

with specific responses concerning the various matters discussed in

(its) June 9 letter" after receiving advice of counsel.

Although we experienced some initial delays, we are now engaged with

counsel in formulating a comprehensive response to your June 9

correspondence. We remain hopeful that the Fellowship and Foundation can

together find a mutually acceptable set of solutions to your concerns.

We anticipate responding in detail well before October 1.
