Emma Christensen is believed to have typed the entire original text
of The Urantia Book on this typewriter, and to have transcribed the original
text provided by the revelators which, according to certain oral traditions,
was received handwritten in pencil on yellow legal pads in the handwriting
of the "sleeping subject." According to these same oral traditions,
the original text was removed from human access by the Midwayers upon completion
of the transcription. According to another source, Part IV was received
at one time in typewritten form. There are only oral traditions about these
matters and they are controversial.
