Urantia BROTHERHOOD

Dear Member of the Brotherhood:

For your information, the Executive Committee and  General Council of Urantia  Brotherhood are currently considering the impact on Urantia Brotherhood’s relationship with Urantia Foundation of the recent resignation  of three (3) Trustees: Gloriann Harris, Frank Sgaraglinc, and Helena Sprague.

The members  of the Executive Committee met in Special Session on July 17, 1989  and we have our concerns to the Trustees and to our peers on the General Council. We plan to hold a Special Meeting of the Council on Sept. 16-17, 1989 to further broaden this discussion. After  this meeting, during which  the General Council will evaluate these issues, we will be able to more fully apprise you of our deliberations. Since we expect that there will be the typical generation of rumors based on little or partial knowledge, we felt that it was important to communicate this information to you immediately; we ask for your patience and your support as we undertake this discussion and group wisdom through our established process in the General Council. . Incidentally, this issue is not directly related to the "CUBS" legal action, which we understand has been settled; certainly Urantia Foundation will be making a formal announcement about this when appropriate.
