Singles: Help plan a singles event
for the IC05 conference!

Purpose: to bring singles together early in the conference and provide a forum for causal and rapid personal socializing.

Goal: to build an early social network by turning strangers into friends to find a conference buddy with whom to share meals, plenary sessions, common workshops, experiences, gossip, etc; to meet and possibly develop a budding romantic relationship with the best match from a personality/interest quiz.

The event may happen like this

7:00 Pm Gathering and socializing 15 min

7:15 Introductions and Instructions 15 min

7:30 Speed Dating 1 hour 30 min

9:00 Small group games 1 hour

10:00 Announcement of matches and close

Sparks of interest may be continued at your own risk

I am looking for a single, female co-facilitator to help plan and execute the event.

I also would like to have a couple of single folks respectively, from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s+ age groups for the planning committee. I need volunteers for input, ideas, comments, thoughts, advice, etc to make this a successful event.

Please spread this information around and see who responds that is interested in helping to provide a much needed service to fellow U book readers. I would love to hear from any psychologist, counselor, etc who has experience in this area and is willing to help.
