Solemnity, according to Webster's Dictionary is: 1. solemn ceremony, ritual, 2. seriousness; gravity; impressiveness.
Trust and Trustworthiness: Trust is a secure feeling based on the belief in the moral character (honesty, reliability, dependability, benevolence, etc.) of another person, group, God, or the universe as a whole. Trustworthiness is the behavior exhibited as a result of the growth in the above characteristics.

Breeding Trust: Self-mastery is the measure of greatness. Through self-discipline the characteristics of being consistent and reliable, of being emotionally dependable, and of having realistic expectations of strength and weaknesses grows.
Trust Busters: The lack of self-mastery prevents trustworthiness ("Trustworthiness is the true measure of self mastery, character.leads to the privilege of service." p. 316). The lack of understanding prevents trusting (".the mistake of placing responsibility prematurely.courts disaster and insures disappointment." p. 316 ). Fear, shame, anger, and suspicion are also trust busters.
