The Foreword and the 196 Papers that comprise this English Internet version of The Urantia Book were copied from text files conforming to the first printing (1955) of The Urantia Book—the so-called "inviolate text." Some style and formatting changes have been made to enhance the readability of this electronic version, but the wording is that of the original 1955 text.

  THIS EDITION PROVIDES:

• The original 1955 text.
• The page-paragraph notation used by Urantia Foundation (displayed as page§paragraph).
• The paper-section-paragraph notation used by the Uversa Press 1996 two-column format publication (displayed as Paper:section.paragraph).
• Notations indicating where subsequent printings deviate from the first printing.
