Dear Janet,
We hope that you had a fruitful meeting in Dallas last week, and that positive resolutions came out of it. Because we didn t hear from you regarding our suggestion that we meet in Paris, and because it s too late now to buy reasonably priced tickets to Paris before the suggested date, we are wondering if the Fellowship's team of representatives still wants to meet with our representatives. If you still desire to meet with us, we suggest that we meet in Chicago during the weekend of March 17 to 19.
Also, we feel it is our duty to inform you that two additional infringements on the Fellowship s Web site have been brought to our attention. First, the Fellowship has procured the Internet real name (RN) for Urantia in order to obtain a preferential listing of its Web site in response to a standard search engine search of Urantia. This is akin to meta-tagging and other unsavory practices that the courts have held to be trademark infringement and unfair competition. Second, the Fellowship s web site now has a flashing Urantia on its study group Web page.
Urantia Foundation has exhibited patience regarding these and other matters previously documented in our past letters to you because you have assured us that a meeting will serve the ends of both of our organizations. The persistence of past infringements, combined with these new ones, makes a meeting between our respective organizations imperative if we are to avoid further disputes regarding the copyright and trademark rights of Urantia Foundation.Urantia Foundation repeats its objection to all of the copyright and trademark infringing content on the Fellowship s Web site and submits that a meeting should be held sooner rather than later to address these issues.
In closing, we desire that you know that we are very concerned about the recent letter that Mr. Kantor has circulated among the readership and the fact that now at least two Executive members of your organization have made public their desire to destroy URANTIA Foundation. Such declarations do not comport with your organization's expressed support for peace and unity. We are receiving mixed signals, to say the least.
We hope that you will respond to this letter by February 25 so that we can prepare for the meeting and buy the tickets.
