Ele foi produzido com o propósito de auxiliar os tradutores e estudantes dos Escritos de Urantia na aproximação aos conceitos originais e interpretação dos mesmos, envolvendo a semântica e o léxico na complexidade filosófica, científica e teológica desta obra, e ao mesmo tempo estimular e facilitar de algum modo a pesquisa contínua.
